…. ASSURES SPEEDY ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL GAS RETAILERS

Following the sad incident of the gas explosion at Abule Panu, on the 7th of May, 2024, the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Omojola and the General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr. Tunde Ajayi visited the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki LGA, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa earlier today to commiserate with the victims on behalf of the Lagos State Government (LASG).
The Council Chairman and the heads of the agencies visited the site of the explosion to access the situation. They also visited the hospital, where some of the victims are currently receiving treatment.
In the same vein, the National President of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Retailers Association was also at the office of the Council Boss to also express his sympathies and to access the situation on ground as well as the representatives from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
Finally, the Lagos State Safety Commission, LASEPA, LPG Retail Association, and the NMDPRA will, in the next few weeks, commence aggressive actions against illegal retail gas stations and operators in the Local Government Area.
