
Hon. Salau Rukayat Ibukun Ajibike, the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Ikorodu West LCDA, presented certificates of completion to the participants of the three-month fully funded bread baking and other pastries training program on Thursday, 2nd of May. The training, conducted in collaboration with the Bakery Initiative Empowerment and Employment Program (BIEEP), aimed to equip individuals with the skills needed to excel in the baking industry.
During the ceremony, the instructor shared that an impressive 70 percent of the participants had already secured employment in nearby bakeries. These individuals were strategically placed in bakeries close to their homes for convenience. Additionally, 30 percent of the participants expressed their desire to start their own bakeries, showcasing their determination and entrepreneurial spirit. The instructor expressed gratitude to Hon. Salau Rukayat for her unwavering support and encouragement throughout the training.
Hon. Salau Rukayat Ajibike commended the participants for their dedication and perseverance during the training. She urged them to maintain good behavior in their workplaces and encouraged those aspiring to start their own bakeries to utilize the skills they acquired. Hon. Ajibike assured the participants that their trainers would continue to support and guide them on their entrepreneurial journey.
The participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Ajibike for providing them with this life-changing opportunity. The training has not only equipped them with valuable skills but has also become a source of income for them. They also extended their appreciation to the Bakery Initiative Empowerment and Employment Program (BIEEP) for creating a conducive learning environment that allowed them to thrive without unnecessary stress.
