Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, the Councillor representing Ward C3 and Council Leader of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, hosted Annual Ramadan Lecture and iftar. The event took place on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at The Baale’s Palace in Offin Ile.

The lecture, titled “Role of Legislators in Nation Building: Islamic Perspective,” was delivered by Shaykh Abdul Wasii Owolabi Zakariyahu, the Mufathir of Offin Ile and Mufti of Ward C3.

Shaykh Abdul Wasii eloquently highlighted the various roles of legislators, including overnight functions, mediation, bye law enactment, and representation.

He emphasized the importance of maximum cooperation from constituents and urged them to avoid over-reliance on legislators, as their primary role is lawmaking.

Hon. Nurudeen Alimi expressed his gratitude to all the participants who made the event a success. The attendees included Baales, imams, the guest lecturer, members of the Muslim communities, Councillorship Aspirants in Ward C3, and party Apex leaders and members of the APC.
