Lagos Youth for Sanwo-Olu organized its 3rd Annual Ramadan Lecture and Prayer on the 31st of March. The Annual Ramadan Lecture and Prayer for the Nation was a resounding success, with attendees benefiting from the enlightening lecture and the distribution of 750 bags of Food Palliatives.

The Food Palliatives, which contained essential items such as rice, semovita, spaghetti, bread, garri, and food ingredients, were distributed to all program attendees. This initiative aimed to complement the Government’s efforts in alleviating the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy and ensuring that the community is supported during these challenging times.

The Guest Lecturer, Fadilat Sheikh Aminullah Akoshile, the Grand Khalipha of Tijaniyah Lagos State, spoke passionately about the virtues of Islam. He emphasized the importance of peace, unity, harmony, and endurance, assuring attendees that the government is working diligently to bring happiness and smiles to their faces. Sheikh Aminullah Akoshile also reminded everyone that after every hardship, there is relief, and the country is on its way to returning to normalcy.

Furthermore, he urged the attendees to understand that the current situation in the country is not the fault of President Tinubu. He assured them that things are gradually improving and encouraged them to remain hopeful for a brighter future.

Amb Lijirin Ruth Ayomide, the Convener of Lagos Youth for Sanwo-Olu and the SSA to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Lagos State, emphasized the importance of peace, unity, harmony, and endurance, echoing the words of the Sheikh. She assured the attendees that the Government of the day is committed to bringing happiness and putting smiles on their faces.

The month of Ramadan was highlighted as a time of peace, giving, drawing closer to one’s creator, and reflection. Amb Lijirin Ruth Ayomide encouraged all members and attendees to tap into the blessings of this holy month and to continue praying for our dear nation, Nigeria, and our state, Lagos.

She also highlighted the remarkable projects, visions, and good works of both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
