The National Association of Ikorodu Division Students set to host the second edition of their annual convention for the current administrative year.
The convention promises to be an exciting affair, encompassing a wide range of activities such as academic seminars, competitions, sporting events, cultural showcases, and fun activities. Additionally, there will be community outreach initiatives aimed at making a positive impact on the local community.
Last year’s inaugural edition was a resounding success, with events taking place across all the Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) and the Local Government Area (LGA) of Ikorodu Division. The administration, led by Comrade Kuti Damilare Opeyemi, did an outstanding job in organizing and executing the convention.

This year, the association has taken a proactive step to mitigate transportation and mobilization challenges by opting for a camping event. The camping event will bring together over 200 students from across Ikorodu Division and beyond, including students from various parts of Lagos State.
The second edition of the convention will introduce some exciting additions to the program. These include a captivating beauty pageant, a memorable dinner and award night, a thought-provoking parliamentary symposium, and a special handing over ceremony to mark the transition to the new administration.
The association’s efforts have received a significant boost with the generous support of Asipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, who has granted the use of his school, Kith and Kin, as the venue for this grand event. The facilities provided by the school will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the convention.

The camping is scheduled to take place immediately after the Ramadan period, from Tuesday, April 16th to Saturday, April 20th, 2024. This timing ensures that students can fully participate without any conflicts with their religious observances.
In preparation for this year’s camp, the association is calling on public servants, government officials, and compassionate individuals from the public to lend their support.
