Akogun Wale Anomo the Executive Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA present transformers to Owu-Ikosi community and Okeosho Community in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA on Friday 8th of March.

Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, highlighting his commitment to the people. He emphasized the importance of rural electrification in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and how his administration has made it a priority.

According to him, since the inception of his administration, they have purchased 10 transformers to support the electrification efforts in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. And just today, they made a significant donation by providing a transformer to  Owu Ikosi community and Okeosho Community.

The Chairman explained that Kabiyesi Owu, expressed his concerns about the darkness in the Owu community and its surrounding areas. In response, Akogun Anomo promised to address this issue within a week. True to his word, the Chairman delivered a 500 kVA transformer to Owu community, bringing light to the area and fulfilling his promise.

The commitment to rural electrification extends beyond Owu, He also donated another transformer to the people of OkeOsho. He has also donate 8 to other communities that have previously received.

The Chairman emphasized that the welfare and well-being of the people are of utmost importance to him. He mentioned that he has a team of dedicated councillors representing the six wards of Ikosi-Ejinrin. They continuously bring forward the needs and concerns of the people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their welfare is prioritized.

HRM Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, the Olowu of Owu Ikosi Kingdom expressed his immense joy and gratitude towards Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. Kabiyesi shared that Owu Ikosi had been in darkness for over six months due to a broken transformer, and despite reaching out to NEPA for assistance, no action was taken. However, when Kabiyesi approached Chairman Wale Anomo, he promised to replace the transformer promptly.

True to his word, Akogun Wale Anomo fulfilled his promise in just one week and installed a brand new 500 KVA transformer in Owu Ikosi. Kabiyesi couldn’t contain his surprise and happiness, stating that Akogun Anomo had truly gone above and beyond to bring light back to the community. This act of kindness follows Chairman Wale Anomo’s recent donation of three classrooms to LG Primary School Agbowa, further showcasing his dedication to education and community development.

Kabiyesi also mentioned that just a few weeks ago, Wale Raji senior, a member of the House of Representatives, donated twelve classrooms to Owu, while Wale Raji Anomo Junior is coming in some week now to start his own three classroom for them in Owu again. “What we can use to say thank you to him is that, myself and the people of Owu kingdom we’re going to vote you for the second term.”

The community are filled with joy and gratitude towards Chairman Wale Anomo for his swift response and commitment to improving their living conditions.
