In a bid to support the Lagos State Government’s campaign, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch has urged people to refrain from crossing the highway.

Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, the Coordinator of NYCN Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch, emphasized the importance of this campaign and announced that banners would be strategically placed to raise awareness among the youth and residents of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

Engr. Adigun highlighted the existence of bridges at Fadeyi, Onipanu, Obanikoro, Anthony, and Oshodi, which were constructed by the State Government for the convenience of the public. He emphasized that there is no reason to cross the highway when these bridges are available. He urged people to avoid risking their lives by crossing the highway.

Furthermore, Engr. Adigun expressed his appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Odiolowo LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Ajala, for his support in this campaign.

The NYCN Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch’s initiative aims to educate and sensitize the community about the importance of road safety and the use of designated bridges. By placing banners in strategic locations, they hope to effectively convey this message to both young individuals and the general public in Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

This campaign aligns with the efforts of the Lagos State Government, through the office of the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, in promoting a safer and more secure environment for all residents. By encouraging responsible behavior and discouraging highway crossings, the NYCN Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch demonstrate their commitment to the well-being and safety of the community.
