The Ayangburen Primary School 1987 alumni have made a significant impact on their alma mater by distributing exercise books to the pupils. Additionally, the alumni presented three trophies to the school Authority for inter-house sports events, promoting healthy competition and school spirit.

Barrister Saheed Kolawole Shillings, who is also a former teacher of the school in his inspiring lecture during the event, emphasized the importance of the present moment in shaping our future. He shared the slogan “Today Tomorrow,” highlighting that the actions we take today directly impact our tomorrow.

Barrister Shillings emphasized that it’s not just about bills and work; it’s about understanding that our choices and efforts today lay the foundation for a successful tomorrow. He encouraged the pupils to start working towards their goals today, as their efforts will reflect in their future achievements. He reminded them that receiving free notebooks today comes with a responsibility to give back to society in the future.

Alhaji Hakeem Adeniran Raji, also known as baba Oloja, shared his heartfelt connection to Ayangburen Primary School, where he was once a student in the 1987 set. As the Chairman of the Alumni, he expressed his gratitude and desire to give back to the school that played a significant role in shaping their life.

“We are paying back to my elementary school, which made me who I am today,” Alhaji Raji stated proudly. He mentioned that they have already started by distributing exercise books to the students, but assured that more facilities and resources are on their way to support the school further.

Alhaji Raji had a message for the students of Ayangburen Primary School. He urged them to be attentive listeners, emphasizing that they are the future of Nigeria. He encouraged them to listen to their parents at home and to their teachers, as they are the leaders of Nigeria tomorrow.

Oresanya Akeem, the secretary of the 1987 set, expressed his joy at being part of the gathering. He expressed gratitude to God for all the blessings bestowed upon them. Akeem appealed to members of their set, both in Nigeria and abroad, to come together and support their annual event, as it holds great significance for their community.

Akeem extended his appreciation to everyone who has contributed to making this august event possible. Their collective efforts have made a positive impact on their alma mater.

In his message to the pupils, Akeem emphasized the importance of not following negative influences. He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and to strive to make a positive difference in society. Akeem hopes that the students will emulate the spirit of giving back in the future.

Other members of the Ayangburen Primary School 1987 set also joined the August occasion by giving back to their Alma mater.
