The lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 01 and Chairman House Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon (OKLA), has unveiled the Second Edition of Okla Scholarship Scheme targeted at not fewer than 50 indigent but brilliant students aimed at giving them the opportunity of acquiring sound education.

The Scholarship covers students in public tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education) across the country who are residents of Kosofe constituency 01 (Oworonshoki, Gbagada/Soluyi, Anthony, Mende, Ojota and Ogudu).

The Scholarship Scheme is targeted at helping students who are financially challenged to be able to pay for their tuition fees, Book allowance and stipends for one Academic year.

Recall that the First Edition of Okla Scholarship Scheme produces two First Class Honours. *Miss Adetola Azeezat Adeola,* a resident of Kujore Street Ojota, bagged a First Class Honours with CGPA of 4.84 from the department of Cell Biology and Genetics, University of Lagos.

Similarly, *Mr. Aliu Aliu Oyinlola,* a resident of Ososa Street Oworonshoki, graduated with First Class Honours (CGPA 4.79) from the department of Banking and Finance, University of Lagos.


*ELIGIBILITY*

✓ Must be a Kosofe Constituency 01 resident

✓ It must be established that financing of your education is a challenge

✓ Your CGPA must be within the range of 2.5 and above or lower credit and above.

*Documents Required For Application*

✓ Applicants will be required to come with 2 recent passport photographs as well as the original and photocopy of the following documents:

✓ The valid Student ID card
Any other means of identification (National ID card, International passport, Voter’s card or Driver’s license)
✓ Admission letter from JAMB and institution of study
✓ Admission letter for the HND programs (For Polytechnic students only)
✓ Evidence of performance or scores in school by way of results or transcript.
