… Calls for parental inclusion towards academic uplift

In a bid to boost the numbers of successful JAMB candidates in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government towards educational upliftment.

The current supervisor for education Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan flagged off the free tutorial classes and distribution of JAMB form to over 200 candidates who are seeking admission to various Tertiary institutions.

The initiative which is geared towards complimenting the efforts of the Council Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on education drew wide applause, as it is a unique way of ensuring a brighter future for students in the Council Area while repositioning them for opportunities ahead.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Ogungbo advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of this great platform while forging ahead in their various course of studies. He, however, reiterated the importance of education considering the Local Government area as the fastest evolving economic hub among her contemporaries.

Also speaking at the event, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education, Noforija, Epe campus, Professor Kosoko Oyedeko charged the students to aim for the best and not to be deterred by surrounding circumstances as she told them “you can be the best that you can.

Speakers after speaker used the moment to eulogize Hon. Ogungbo, while charging the students not to betray the trust reposed in them by their parent’s .

It was indeed a glamorous moment as the beneficiaries expressed their delight and thank God for giving them a representative like OTS.
