Hon. Lady Lydia Agoro former Supervisor Ikorodu North LCDA was showered with love and celebration on Sunday 5th of February, as she marked her University convocation ceremony. Children, friends, family, and well-wishers came together to celebrate and congratulate her on this remarkable achievement.

The Children; Engr. Osibodu Oluwafunsho, Mrs Oluwatoyin Kehinde, Hon. Elias Obadina, and Hon. Michael Obadina, expressed admiration for their mother, highlighting her qualities as a disciplinarian, caring mother, and overall wonderful person. They were thrilled to witness her latest accomplishment and shared their excitement for her future endeavors.

Hon. Niyi Odugbesi Secretary to the Local Government, Ikorodu North LCDA, reflecting on Lady Lydia’s journey to the university, revealed that she had played a significant role in encouraging him to pursue his own university education at LASU, which he is close to completing. Her support and guidance have been invaluable to him.

Hon. Mrs Apashe a close ally of Lady Lydia shared her joy upon hearing about her plans to pursue a university education. Witnessing her dedication and perseverance throughout her academic journey brought immense happiness, and they celebrated her completion of the program as a testament to her consistency.

Oba Olusegun Shobowale-Benson Olojodu of Ojodu, a longtime and childhood friend of Lady Lydia, reminisced about their cherished childhood memories and praised her for maintaining a strong bond over the years. He expressed gratitude for her friendship and extended heartfelt congratulations on her graduation.

Hon. Adeleke Akadiri Sayleke, the initiator of the event, expressed his admiration for her unwavering support and love for education.

Hon. Sayleke emphasized that Lady Lydia’s decision to pursue a university education is a testament to her hard work, determination, and her belief in the power of education.

He commended her for always being ready to support the children of others, showing her selflessness and dedication to making a positive impact in their lives.

He believes that Lady Lydia’s journey will serve as an inspiration and encouragement to the youth, showing them that it is never too late to pursue their dreams and that education is a valuable tool for personal growth and success.

Lady Lydia Agoro, in her gratitude, acknowledged God Almighty for the opportunity to pursue her education and expressed appreciation to her late husband for his support. She also thanked the former Governor of Lagos State HE. Akinwunmi Ambode for his role in her educational journey.

Lady Lydia shared her experiences as the oldest student in her department and revealed her plans to pursue a master’s degree soon. She encouraged the youth to stay focused, emphasizing that no knowledge gained through education is ever wasted.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made her special day even more memorable. In particular, she expressed her appreciation for the surprise her children had planned for her.
