Hon. Bonu Solomon, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Badagry Constituency 1 and Chairman of the House Committee on Tourism, Art, and Culture, shared the news of the commencement of the construction of the Badagry Stadium. Hon. Solomon expressed his appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approving the project.

In his message to the people of Badagry, Hon. Solomon said, “Dear Badagrians, it is my pleasure to announce to you the start of the construction of the Badagry Stadium. This stadium was one of the 10 stadia approved by the Lagos State executive cabinet, led by Governor Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, years ago when I was a Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism. The location chosen for the stadium is the Badagry Grammar School, which was once the Badagry divisional stadium in the past. Its central location in Badagry Local Government makes it easily accessible to all communities in Badagry.”

Hon. Solomon went on to express his gratitude to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his outstanding leadership and also thanked the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, for his contribution to the project.

He assured the people of Badagry that every effort would be made to complete the stadium in the shortest possible time, ensuring that the youth in the Badagry Federation can benefit from its facilities.
