In the spirit of Humanitarian service which the Lions Club is known to adhere, The Executives and Fellow Lions, of LAGOS VICTORIA BOGLO LIONS CLUB hosted a ‘Feed a Soul’s campaign in Majidun/Oja Ale, and Ilu Abo Community of Ikorodu West LCDA, today, 27th January 2024.

Addressing the residents of the aforementioned community who were at the programme was Lion Ayoola, The First Vice President of the district, as he stretched out history of the LIONS CLUB and it’s motto which centered around giving back to the vulnerable in each community in it’s bid to end hunger, curtail social unrest, and promote empathy through charitable responsibilities to the people.

In Furtherance, Lion Richard Batife, The President of Lagos Victoria Boglo Lions Club, emphasized the merits of the society, as it spur his interest to relationship with his community, as he took the opportunity to state his reasons for bringing the Club activity, to Majidun, Ilu Abo community to curtail the excess of the society, narrated his Leadership qualities has been different in helping people, as an attribute he learned in LIONS club, Also, mentioned that activities like medical outreach are part of the activities of the Club to forestall and prevent incidence cases of illness among the people.

Lion Batife urged the audience who were comprised of Female gender (Young and aged women) to encourage their Kids to show empathy to others, To be dutiful to friends, neighbours and those around them in their own little way, In his conclusion, He charged the parents to be more responsible of in affairs of their children by asking them valid questions on the type of group they belong in primary and secondary schools and prevent them joining bad gang such as Cultism and other social vices and further promote a compassionate society at large. As the audience were filled with genuine smiles to receive their Food packages

However, Lion Batife also seek the mood of the occasion to call on Government and philanthropist to support the society and create more incentives to the citizens.
