
Following the successful grading of more than 20 street and feeder roads in Wards E1 and E2, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA’s ambitious road rehabilitation campaign is now at Ward F1. This ongoing initiative aims to enhance connectivity, accessibility, and overall quality of life for residents across the diverse communities within the LCDA as the Executive Chairman through this initiative aims to grade more than 100 roads identified across the 6 Wards of the LCDA.
Phase one in Ward F1 kicked off with the clearing of roadside bushes along the Otta-Ikosi and Odo-Ayandelu main roads, followed by the grading of different streets in both Otta-Ikosi and Odo-Ayandelu Kingdoms. Residents of Jakande way, Otta-Ikosi Jnr and Snr School Rd, Bisi road, Eid rd, Cemetery Rd, Araromi Street, back of Odo market amongst others have already witnessed the positive impact of the project, experiencing smoother commutes and improved access to essential services.
“This project isn’t just about fixing a few roads,” emphasized Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. “We’re committed to transforming our entire road network, one community at a time. We’re working closely with CDA/CDC representatives to ensure no street in need gets overlooked. If your earth road is in a deplorable state, simply let your CDA Executive or our LCDA Works department know, and we’ll prioritize it in our schedule.”
This inclusive approach reflects the Akogun Wale Raji Anomo’s led administration’s dedication to responsive governance and resident participation. By empowering residents to actively contribute to the project’s success, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA is fostering a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for the LCDA’s development.
The progress in Wards E1, E2 and F1 marks a significant step forward in the overall road rehabilitation campaign, and residents in Wards G1, Q1 and R1 should confidently expect the project to reach them soon.
