Builder Deola Banjo, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, hosted a historical media parley on Friday, 12th of January.

During the parley, Builder Deola Banjo expressed his reason for inviting the media organizations in Ikorodu Division. He said, “I want to extend the hands of partnership to you and commend your excellent work in reportage within the division and across Lagos State.”

Builder Banjo emphasized the importance of collaboration in the year 2024.

The media practitioners in attendance were thrilled to be recognized and applauded Builder Deola Banjo for organizing such a gathering. They appreciated his acknowledgment of the media as the fourth realm and the crucial role they play in society.

During the parley, the media practitioners urged the Council Chairman to prioritize transparency in budget presentations. They also emphasized the need for the Chairman to lead a collaborative effort among the six council leaders to enhance the division’s security architecture. Recognizing the strategic importance of Ikorodu North LCDA, the recommendations highlighted concerted efforts for food security and positioning Ikorodu Division as a significant contributor to Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

The media organizations present at the parley included Ajasa-Info, Oriwu Sun Newspaper, Ikorodu Oga Radio, Mega Expression, Impact Newspaper, News Extremist, Ikorodu News Network, and Charlian TV.

The Chairman was accompanied by Hon. Al-Ameen Apanisile the Vice Chairman, Hon. Niyi Odugbesi the SLG, Hon. Ayo Adekoya the Council Leader, Hon. Balqis Ibrahim the Majority Leader, Hon. Bola Adaramola Chief Whip and Hon. Olakanmi Tijani, Hon. Sulaimon Adewusi Supervisor for Information, Supervisor for Works Alhaji Ambali Olutusin, and the SA to the Chairman on Political Matters – Mr. Olawale Olowolagba, Mr. Bode, and Mr. Lamina.
