The long-awaited Golden Jubilee birthday of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, was a grand affair on the 28th of December. After a week filled with exciting activities, the birthday celebration exceeded all expectations. 

The day started with a special prayer session led by Islamic Clerics, who entrusted the next phase of her life to Almighty Allah.

The reception was a star-studded event, with distinguished guests from Lagos, Ogun state, and even friends from abroad in attendance. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the Mayegun of Yoruba Land, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, and 9ice entertained the guests with their melodious music.

During the celebration, Princess Samiat Bada took the opportunity to expressed her gratitude to her husband, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo, her Family, as well as Governor Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Mr. Tayo Ayinde Chief of Staff to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Senator Mamora, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, Otunba Bushura Alebiosu, Omooba Shosanya, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and other state executives, Members of the State House of Assembly, Her Colleagues the Council Chairmen, her friends and in extension her political family in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and Kosofe at large.

Hon. Saidat Olayinka Oladunjoye, the federal commissioner at the national population commission representing Lagos state, said “The celebrant is my sister, she is a confidant,” said Hon. Saidat Oladunjoye. “When I was the vice chairman of the party senatorial district, she gave me massive support, and we became very friendly. She was there for me, and I was there for her too. Today, I just want to wish her a very blessed happy birthday. I wish that she continues to enjoy Allah’s favor, blessings, and reaches great heights. I am genuinely happy for her, and I wish her all the best.”

Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, popularly known as ABK, former Executive Secretary Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, expressed his heartfelt birthday wishes to the esteemed Chairman. “I am a political friend to the celebrant, and we do politics together in Ikosi Isheri,” said Hon. Afolabi Kazeem. “She is a performing Chairman, and I want to wish her a very happy birthday. Her dedication and commitment to our community have been truly inspiring, and I hope she has a fantastic celebration.”

Alhaji Usman, Chairman of Mile 12 International Market in Lagos, expressed his admiration for Mayoress.

“Firstly, she has been a political friend for a long time,” said Alhaji Usman. “We have been together for a very long time. If there is any chairman of Lagos state that has tried for the party, she is one of them. And I pray she continues to go higher and higher.”
