Hon. Ahmed Apatira, the Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Earlier today performed the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of the Itire-Ikate Area Office at Baruwa.
During his address, Dr. Apatira emphasized the importance of staff welfare and the need for a conducive work environment. He shared that the chosen site for the foundation laying ceremony was the previous administrative headquarters of the council in 2023.
Dr. Apatira also expressed the administration’s dedication to various mass-oriented programs and projects aimed at benefiting the community.
Dr. Apatira, also recognized the importance of the ongoing projects. He emphasized that the construction of the new Area Office is a crucial part of the administration’s commitment to providing improved facilities for efficient service delivery.
In conclusion, Dr. Apatira reassured everyone that the council is fully dedicated to striving for excellence. They want to ensure that the community benefits from their relentless efforts to improve their lives.
Hon. Ahmed Oladipupo Idris, the council leader, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. He mentioned that they are laying the foundation for the area office for Itire Ikate LCDA and the Legislative chamber.
According to Hon. Idris, this project is iconic because it will greatly benefit the legislative arm of Itire Ikate LCDA. The current space is not sufficient for them to carry out their expected functions effectively. With the new office and chamber, they will be able to perform their jobs more efficiently.
He also emphasized the positive and cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the LCDA, despite occasional friction due to oversight functions.
Engr. Badmus, the director of works at Itire Ikate LCDA. He mentioned that the main goal of the project is to provide more office space. Currently, they don’t have enough offices, so this expansion will help accommodate more offices and improve the legislative arms chamber.
Engr. Badmus also mentioned that the project is expected to last for 6 months.
Engr. Adelana Adeshina, the CDC chairman of Itire Ikate LCDA. He said that this milestone marks another significant moment in the history of Itire Ikate LCDA. It’s amazing to see the continuous efforts of our chairman to bring bright and impactful projects to the community.
Engr. Adeshina highlighted that the council has been on a journey of development since 2012, and it’s incredible to witness how Itire Ikate LCDA is evolving into a better place.
Hon. ShafariYu Ayinde Kushina, LGA Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, mentioned that the office was previously in use, but they want to reconstruct it to better serve the community. The new building will house the legislative arm and provide office space. This expansion will surely enhance the functionality and effectiveness of the council.
The ceremony was attended by local government officials, Party Stalwarts, community leaders, and residents gathered to witness this historic occasion.
