
In a delightful celebration of fun and excitement in the community, the 7th edition of the annual Eginrin Podolu Asemole CDA Kiddies Fiesta took place on December 17th, 2023. The event, held in Eginrin, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, brought together children from the community for a day of excitement and entertainment.
Mr. Lucky Oluku, the CDA Chairman of Eginrin Podolu Asemole CDA, Odogunyan, and the Joint CDA Chairman of United CDA Odogunyan, Ikorodu, In his speech, Mr. Oluku highlighted the significance of the event, stating that it has been a tradition since December 2016. Due to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition had to be canceled.
However, this year’s event brought together children from the community for the purpose of socializing and fostering bonds.
Over the years, the Kiddies Fiesta has grown in popularity, attracting hundreds of children. What started as a small gathering has now expanded to host around 150 children, ranging in age from 1 to 17. The program aims to go beyond infrastructural development and focus on the social aspect of community development.
Mr. Oluku emphasized the importance of building strong interpersonal relationships among the young participants, as they are the future leaders of tomorrow. By creating bonds and fostering goodness and brightness, the event aims to instill values that will shape their growth and development.
The Kiddies Fiesta provided a platform for children to interact socially and have a fun time. The event featured exciting activities such as a bouncing castle, Mickey Mouse, face painting, a visit from Father Christmas, delicious food, lively music, and customized t-shirts for security purposes.
In addition to the festivities, Mr. Oluku had a special message for the kids. He wished them a wonderful time at the event and encouraged them to take their education seriously. Mr. Oluku emphasized that education is key and serves as a foundation for pursuing any vocation or career path in life.
The Eginrin Podolu Asemole CDA 2023 Kiddies Fiesta not only provided a day of joy and entertainment but also promoted the importance of building bonds, fostering good relationships, and prioritizing education for a brighter future.
