In a consistent display of continuous community engagement, yesterday, Wednesday 22nd November 2023, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) hosted a Stakeholders Consultative Forum at the LCDA Secretariat, Agbowa. The event attracted a diverse array of attendees, representing various sectors and interests from across the communities of the LCDA.

The gathering brought together distinguished guests from different strata of society to share and exchange insights for the upcoming 2024 budget. Notable among distinguished stakeholders present included royal fathers, HRM Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, and HRM Oba Elias Omoloro, the Olota of Otta-Ikosi. Other Royal fathers were ably represented, along with Gazetted chiefs, Baales, CDC/CDA Executives, Religious Leaders, Party Chieftains, and other prominent figures.

The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, after reeling out some of the achievements and progress recorded over the years and how much the previous stakeholders’ consultative forum held has significantly assisted in making sure that the activities of his administration are people-centric. He led the delegation, with the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, and other Executive Cabinet members actively participating. The Councillors present were led in by the Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Wahab Qudus, while the Council Manager, Mr. Sunday Awobajo and other management staff were also present.

The forum provided an open platform for stakeholders to discuss pressing community issues and share insights pivotal for shaping the 2024 budget. Discussions ranged from sustainable development initiatives to infrastructure improvements, educational enhancements, and the overall welfare of residents.

Chairman Anomo expressed gratitude to the stakeholders present for honoring the invitation of the Council. He emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in achieving community goals and underscored the commitment of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA to transparent and inclusive governance.

The Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu, HRM Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, appreciated and commended the Chairman for his purposeful and impactful Leadership, pointing out areas which the Chairman and his Cabinet need to also work on generally in order to have a more prosperous Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, which the Chairman appreciated and promised to work upon.

The continuous engagement of Ikosi-Ejinrin Stakeholders by the Akogun Wale Raji Anomo led administration signifies His dedication to democratic ethics, ensuring that the community’s voice resonates in the formulation of policies, programs and projects that will shape its future.
