Ikosi-Isheri LCDA under the leadership of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA engaged Stakeholders in Consultative Forum for Year 2024 Budget and Fiscal Planning.

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada in her speech, she emphasized the importance of realistic budgeting to meet the needs of the people in the Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area.

She expressed her commitment to listening to the yearnings of the stakeholders and ensuring that the right resources are allocated appropriately.

The Mayoress highlighted that last week, the seven wards in the LCDA held their individual Stakeholders Town Hall meetings, all focused on the theme “Budget of Optimization for Sustainable Development.”

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, known for her inclusive leadership style, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and the need to bridge the gap between the Executive and Legislative arms of Ikosi Isheri LCDA.

She stated, “On this note, as all representatives of the seven Wards present, it will be very important that all needs/requests are collated and put in a compendium form for better deliberations and considerations where necessary.”

During his address, Mr. Olomo Adeyinka the Head of Department Budget emphasized the importance of budgeting as a tool for effective financial management and resource allocation. He highlighted the meticulous process involved in preparing a budget that aligns with the needs and priorities of the community.

Furthermore, Mr. Adeyinka expressed his department’s dedication to assisting the Mayoress in implementing the proposed projects and initiatives outlined in the budget statement. Their collaboration aims to ensure that the allocated funds are utilized efficiently and effectively to bring about positive change and development in the community.
