
In a commemoration of the Ember months, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club partners with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to provide much-needed health support to public transport drivers and members of the community in Ikorodu on Tuesday, 24th of October.
The health support initiative included eye screening, blood pressure checks, and the distribution of eye glasses to drivers.
Princess Adenike Abiodun Adenoike, the President of the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club, expressed her gratitude to the FRSC for their yearly Ember months sensitization efforts. She also assured them of the club’s continuous partnership in their Ember months program.
Commander S.A Balogun, in his address, urged drivers to always abide by road safety rules and avoid over speeding, especially during the Ember months. He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club for their health support program and their partnership.
The event was graced by prominent personalities, including the representation of Oba Abdulkabir Shotobi, the Oba of Ikorodu Kingdom, by Ayangburen in Council.
