The long awaited 20th anniversary of Imota Students’ Union commences today, Friday, 20th of October, 2023 with Jumaht prayers at Imota Central Mosque. The comrades of Imota Students’ Union and school pupils culled from the secondary schools within the community were led by the union president, Comrade Temitope Rukayat Odufesi to the mosque to commit the 20th anniversary to Allah, pray for students, union’s sponsors and in Imota community at large.

Speaking to our correspondence, the union president, Comrade Temitope Rukayat Odufesi said, ‘the comrades of Imota Students’ Union and the students from different schools within the community are here (Imota Central Mosque) today to kickstart the 20th anniversary of the union with prayers. As a union body, we understood the efficacy of prayers and that is why we had deemed it fit to start the year’s program with prayers.’
‘We seize this opportunity to pray to Almighty Allah to see us through the one week-long program. We also took time to pray for academic success, good health and divine favour for all the students in Imota Local Council Development Area, and we never forget to pray for more blessings for our fathers and mothers who had been supporting the programs and projects of the union and also for peace and development for Imota, our dear community.’ She added.

Alhaji Imam Mahruf Orogbogbo, the Chief Imam of Imota in his speech commended the executive in council and the comrades of Imota Students Union for putting Allah first in the planning of their annual week program. He pray Allah to protect and uphold every members of the union and he also announce to the muslim faithful to partake and benefit from the union Free Jamb Form Scholarship whose aptitude test is slated to hold on Monday, 23rd of October, 2023 at Imota Community Senior Grammar School by 10am and the Free Health Enlightenment Exercise holding at Ikorodu General Hospital, Imota Annex.
