The Office of the Representative for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Nigerian Youth Parliament, is proud to announce the upcoming *Nigerian Youth Parliament, Lagos Central Senatorial District Inter-Secondary Schools Debate on Drug Abuse 2023*.

This event will bring together 32 Junior and Senior Secondary Schools from across Lagos Central Senatorial District, ensuring that each Local Government Area (LGA) and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is represented. The school representatives will engage in thought-provoking debates on various topics related to drug and substance abuse.

This initiative represents a significant policy action, serving as a Peer-to-Peer advocacy and educational program aimed at addressing the issue of Drug Abuse among students in public secondary schools, as derived from the Nigerian Youth Parliament Drug and Substance Abuse Control Policy 2022.

The program is planned and managed by; Lagos Central Youth Inter-School Debate Planning Committee headed by; Hon. Victor Olaleye, in collaboration with “A Piece of My Heart Foundation” as an accountability partner.

The event unfolds in two parts: the first round will take place on Thursday, October 19th, followed by the grand finale on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023. Participants have the chance to win valuable prizes, including laptops, mobile tablets, digital watches, tech scholarships, books, schoolbags etc.
