The joy of the Odogunyan and Agbede people of Ikorodu North LCDA know no bound today as the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA Builder Deola Banjo hosted notable dignitaries in Ikorodu North and beyond to commission the link bridge that connects both communities.

Residents of both communities would now forget their years of pain as they can now heave a sigh of relief from travelling through Ogun state to connect each other which is just a stone throw away.

The State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Honourable Muyideen Adeola Jokomba , Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, Honourable Ogunbela, Mrs Salau, Alhaji Jimoh Odidi, Otunba Fatai Sulaimon (Fayas), Hon. Iyiola Abiodun among other high profile personalities stormed the venue to witness the historic event.

The people of the communities came out in their numbers to praise the Chairman to high heavens for listening to their cry and for coming to their aid with a bridge to connect both communities.

The Chairman while addressing the gathering said “I am happy the day we have all been waiting for is finally here. This that we have done is part of our administration’s commitment to ensure we bring smiles to the faces of our people and we would not rest on our oars until residents of Ikorodu North can sleep with their two eyes closed and go about their businesses in a more conducive atmosphere.”.

The tape cutting was done by the Lagos state All Progressives Congress Secretary, Honourable Muyideen Adeola Jokomba flanked by other invited guests.

The Vice Chairman, Honourable Ameen Olawale Apanishile, Secretary to the Local Govt, Honourable Niyi Odugbesi, the leader of the house, Honourable Ayo Adekoya and fellow Councillors, Supervisors and management member of the Tower of resources also graced the epoch making event.

People danced and exchanged pleasantries as they couldn’t contain their joy for the ease the link bridge would bring to their communities and general well being.
