Today, the 13th October, The Commissioner of Transportation Lagos paid a courtesy visit to LASWA.

During the visit, Mr. Seun Osiyemi the Commissioner expressed his appreciation for LASWA’s efforts to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance water transportation in Lagos.

The General Manager Mr. Damilola Emmanuel highlighted the various initiatives implemented by LASWA such as the introduction of modern ferries, the expansion of terminal facilities, and the promotion of safety measures.

Both parties exchanged ideas on ways to further improve water transportation, and infrastructures, boost passenger confidence, and encourage more residents to utilize the waterways as an alternative mode of travel. They also discussed upcoming projects including the development of new routes and the integration of technology for better efficiency and convenience.

The fruitful discussions concluded with a shared vision of a more sustainable and resilient transportation system in Lagos where waterways play a prominent role.
