Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club, the youth activity of the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club, distributed 500 sanitary pads to the young girls of Civil Service Junior Model College, United Junior High School, and on the streets of Ikorodu. This initiative was organized to commemorate the 2023 International Girl Child Day and was generously sponsored by Ms. Yemisi Enifeni.

The Club President, Leo Tairat Balogun, the Immediate Past President, Leo Keji Lawal, and Leo Abdul Adesola, educate the young girls on menstrual hygiene. The distribution of sanitary pads not only helps to address the needs of the young girls but also empowers them to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

They also conducted educational sessions to teach the young girls about menstrual hygiene practices and how to track their monthly period digitally.

The initiative received a positive response from the students of Civil Service Junior Model College, United Junior High School, and the girls in the streets of Ikorodu. The girls expressed their gratitude for the support and information provided, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in breaking down barriers and promoting healthy practices.

Leo Tairat Balogun, the Club President of the Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Yemisi Enifeni for generously sponsoring the project. Leo Tairat also extended her gratitude to both Civil Service junior Model College and United Junior High School for warmly welcoming the club into their schools and allowing them to make a positive impact.

In addition she also acknowledged the presence of Leo Abdulrahman Oduguwa, the Region Director of Leo Region 2, and other members of the club, Despite their busy schedules, they dedicated their time and effort to participate in the project, she also appreciated their sponsoring Lions, Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club.
