
Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon Yusuf, the Executive Chairman of Surulere Local Government, distributed palliatives to 3000 residents at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Since assuming office as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon Yusuf has been committed to creating an enabling environment and enhancing the well-being of the residents of Surulere. Recognizing the challenges faced by the community, particularly the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy and global changes, the provision of palliatives was seen as a crucial step to alleviate the hardships faced by the people.
The palliatives distributed to the beneficiaries consisted of Rice, Beans and Garri, aimed at improving their standard of living. Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon Yusuf congratulated the recipients and urged everyone to pray for the success of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
The Chairman emphasized that the purpose of these palliatives was to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal, highlighting the magnanimity and selflessness of President Tinubu as a leader who genuinely cares for his people and has the nation’s best interests at heart.
The event was attended by a diverse audience, including community members and leaders. Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon Yusuf expressed his gratitude to all those who took the time to be part of this historic occasion, emphasizing the value of their presence and support.
Hon. Muiz Dosunmu, the Vice Chairman of Surulere Local Government, expressed his gratitude to the residents for their patience and unwavering support towards the administration of Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon. He implored them to continue their steadfast backing of the government, highlighting the positive impact it has on the community.
Hon. Adebayo Adebisi, the Council Leader, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Surulere for their unwavering support towards the administration of Hon. Bamidele Sulaimon. He assured them that the distribution of the Palliatives would reach everyone in batches.
Former Deputy Speaker Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon. Agboola Dabiri, Barr. Barakat Akande, Hon. Fuad Laguda, Hon. Ajao, Hon. Sheriff Balogun, and other distinguished dignitaries were present at the Palliatives distribution.
