The Lagos State Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS JCC) joyously celebrated the inauguration of its executive members on Friday, September 29, 2023. The event took place at the Oceanography Hall, Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT).

The newly sworn-in executive lineup includes Comrade Alimi Lekan Idris as Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Samuel Adebola as Vice Chairman, Comrade Abefe Abdulrazak Yusuf as General Secretary, Comrade Adu Taiwo Williams as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Gbadamosi Yusuf as Financial Secretary, Comrade Sunmola Qudus O. as Welfare Director, and Comrade Bello Yusuf Oluwaremilekun as Director of Special Duties.

These dedicated executives have taken on the responsibility of representing the interests of Nigerian students in Lagos State. They will passionately advocate for their rights and well-being, with a focus on promoting quality education, nurturing leadership development, and enhancing overall student welfare across the state.

The Chairman Comrade Alimi Lekan Idris expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve and promised to prioritize students’ needs. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among students to achieve common goals.

Additionally, he unveiled an exciting lineup of activities and programs for the 2023/2024 Administrative year, including a Security Summit, Campus Tour/Mentorship initiatives, an Annual Students Leadership Retreat, a “Library in a Box” project, and a Beyond School Certificate Program.

The inauguration of the NANS JCC Lagos State Executives marks a new chapter in the organization’s efforts to uplift the Nigerian student community in Lagos State. With unwavering determination and a strong commitment, these executives are ready to make a positive impact and advocate for the rights and welfare of Nigerian students in Lagos State.

Shortly after the inauguration, the Chairman announced two important appointments to strengthen the organization:

– Chief of Staff: Comrade Nurudeen OlaNiyi Adam
– Chief Press Secretary: Comrade Quadri Abdulgafar Olamide
