The LiRA Foundation, under the leadership of Lijirin Ruth Ayomide JP, was the subject of admiration on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Despite the heavy rainfall, the premises of the Army Sports Camp, Myhoung Barracks, Morrocco, Somolu, Lagos, radiated with happiness and commitment as the NGO organized its Back-To-School Programme ‘Season 4’ under the theme ‘Every Child Counts’.

The event brought together invited parents, guardians, guests of honor, and pupils, who worked together seamlessly to ensure peaceful coordination.

Lijirin emphasized the crucial role of vital growth in every child’s life, stating, “We are deeply concerned about contributing to the nurturing of our young ones. By distributing educational materials in various forms, we aim to strengthen parents’ roles in our respective communities.” This gesture serves as an avenue to boost children’s focus and overall development.

Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Somolu Constituency 01, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo (Iyaloja General) represented by Chief Mrs. Taiwo Adisa, Mr. Segun Adefila (guest speaker), and Alhaji Temidayo Adekunle Odutola ‘Olomu’ joined Lijirin to reiterate the importance of youth development in every locality and the commitment to giving back to society.

LiRA foundation also celebrated their ICT graduands and September-borns, the beneficiaries were also given the Back To School Packs respectively, which includes School Bags, Food Flasks, School Sandals, Exercise Books and Water Bottles.

The LiRA Foundation’s Back-To-School Programme ‘Season 4’ received overwhelming accolades for its kind gesture to the grassroots, emphasizing the significance of education and the well-being of children.
