To provide a seamless water transport system that would complement other modes of transportation to the people of Shomolu, kosofe, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island and environs, a notable commercial ferry operator, the GT Waterline is set to commence an affordable water transport services at the Ilaje Bariga Waterfront Jetty in Lagos.

Commencing with 20 seater luxury boats that are equipped with standard life jackets and state of the arts Navigational Aids for passenger safety, the commercial ferries will operate from Ilaje Bariga to Ebute Ero, CMS, Lekki, Addax /Sandfill / Law School Falomo, Victoria-Island, Liverpool and Flour mills in Apapa Lagos.

Daily trips out of Bariga Waterfront Jetty is scheduled btw 6.45 and 10am in the morning, with a return trip in the evening at 5pm from Falomo terminal and at 5.30pm from CMS Jetty.

For ease of payment system there would be distribution of free Cowry cards to all customers during the first week of Operation, while passengers with their cowry cards already can use same to board the ferries

Residents of Bariga, Ilaje, Akoka, UNILAG and other communities in and around Shomolu,  kosofe, Victoria Island and Lagos Island Local Governments can now enjoy alternative mode of transportation to their various destinations and back home.
