Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, receives high praise from residents as she concluded her ward tour today, distributed welfare packages to Orile Ketu, Agiliti/Maidan, and KoiKoi/Idera were all covered.

In her speech, Mayoress Samiat Bada expressed her passion for giving back to the community and emphasized that this initiative is not solely a response to the recent fuel subsidy removal. She highlighted that the government has been actively involved in providing assistance even before this issue arose, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. She reiterated that the welfare packages are funded by the government and are meant to alleviate the burden on the masses.

The welfare packages distributed to the residents included essential items such as garri, rice, beans, and more. Mayoress Samiat Bada’s Administration has taken the approach of going directly to the communities, making it easier for the people to receive the palliative support.

Adekoya Gbadegoke Aderogba, Majority Leader of the 5th Legislative Assembly representing Orile Ketu Ward E in Ikosi Isheri LCDA, explained the decision to take the palliative directly to the community, By doing so, they aim to reduce the financial burden on transportation and ensure that people are relieved from the impact of the subsidy removal.
