
Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, embarked on a compassionate mission by distributing welfare packages to residents in Ward A Isheri/Olowora, Ward B Shangisha-Magodo phase 1, Ward C Ikosi-Oke, and Ward D Orile Ikosi. The distribution train took place today, 17th of August.
In her address, Mayoress Samiat Bada shed light on her unwavering commitment to helping people since assuming office, She stated, “I have always had a passion for giving back to the community, and it aligns with my religious beliefs. When you give, you are giving unto God. As we have been blessed with the privilege of holding this position, it is an extension of our plans.”
“This initiative was not prompted by the recent removal of subsidies; it has been in existence long before that. We provided assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we will continue to support the masses freely because these funds belong to the Government, not us personally.”

The welfare packages included essential items such as Garri, Rice, Beans, and more. Mayoress Samiat Bada further explained that her administration opted for a door-to-door distribution approach, going from one community to another. This strategy aims to alleviate the burden of transportation expenses for the residents.
She implored the people to be rest assured that the Government genuinely cares about their well-being, emphasizing her role as a leader.
Gbenga Omotosho Commissioner designate in Lagos State also give his point of view as regards the giving out of palliatives to the people, he said ” This is a good initiative and i advise more people who are capable to help people to emulate this program”.
Olukokun Adepeju founder Kokun foundation in his remarks, expresses his support towards the chairman of ikosi isheri local government Bolanle Bada as she reached out to the less privilege in the community.
