
Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, under the leadership of Mayor Dele Oshinowo, launched the “We-Lift Food Bank Initiative” as a subsidy intervention support Program, The aim was to provide assistance to vulnerable households in the area, particularly the disabled, low-income earners, and the downtrodden.
In a show of solidarity with the President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the LCDA distributed 6,000 food packages to 6,000 households earlier today 15th of August.
Hon. Mrs. Folake Kayode, the Vice Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, represented the Executive Chairman at the distribution center, The initiative, in support of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aims to provide palliative support to the disabled, low-income earners, and the less privileged in the society.
In her speech, Vice Chairman Folake Kayode emphasized the importance of the palliative distribution, acknowledging the challenges faced by the community due to the removal of the subsidy. She highlighted the government’s commitment to overcoming these difficulties and bringing joy to Nigeria.

The food packages, which include garri, beans, rice, and yam, will be distributed across the seven wards of Agboyi-Ketu. Vice Chairman Kayode assured that the distribution is not limited to any political class and is solely intended to benefit those in need.
Pastor Michael A. Efukoya, Chairman of the Christian Association of Agboyi-Ketu chapter, expressed gratitude to Mayor Dele Oshinowo for his efforts in providing support to the less privileged members of society.
Imam Mustapha Qasim The Chief Imam of Orisigun Central Mosque also commended Mayor Dele Oshinowo and the Government at large for its commitment to assisting vulnerable individuals and allowing them to benefit from the removal of the subsidy.
As the palliatives were distributed, recipients were urged to manage the resources responsibly and make the most of the support provided. The initiative aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by the community and bring about a sense of joy and relief amidst the challenging times.
Members of the community express their heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Dele Oshinowo for his thoughtfulness and dedication in providing support to the members of the community.
