Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area PRINCESS SAMIAT ABOLANLE BADA on Monday 14th August, 2023 distributed free GCE forms to 250 indigent students of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.

The event was held earlier today at SENATOR OSINOWO HALL where she explained that no amount given to education can ever be enough, and explained why she is interested in fostering good education

“You will all agree with me that no amount of money expended in education can ever be enough, therefore,I believe that Education is the best legacy that we can give to all at every given time which anyone that is offered will live not to regret”.

“our administration is irrevocably committed to the welfare of our people, we therefore, will make Education continue as our top priority, hence our distribution of Year 2023 GCE forms today”. She said.

She further explained that despite the council are not buoyant enough, Ikosi-Isheri has always strived to manage the little funds they have to pursue their programs, projects and events”.

She however encourages the beneficiaries to justify the huge amount of public fund expended to procuring the form by ensuring that they prepare very well for the examination and refrain from any form of examination malpractices.

Hon. Dayo Ogunleye the supervisor for Education, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA said that the motive behind the event is to give succor to indigenes parents because of the economic challenges in the country and for this, kudos should be given to my boss the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA for the timely response to making sure that the LCDA can make available this amount of GCE forms of over 250 beneficiaries which she started since her coming into power in 2021.” he said.

He encourages the students to study hard to pass the GCE in other to be privileged to get the free Jamb form sponsored by the Mayoress.

A beneficiary, Omotayo victor, a student of faith academy Ogba, appreciated the Mayoress for the second chance she has given to students who have failed their GCE previously to make amends as not everybody have the opportunity or money to obtain the form and he promise to work hard,excel and make her proud.

Another beneficiary, Toluwanimi Ogunlade, appreciates the Mayoress for the opportunity she gave to her to get a free GCE form and she promises to excel and make her proud.
