We are oblivious of the adverse effects the removal of fuel subsidy has caused to our existence, it is pertinent to note that this route of subsidy removal was the only way our economy could bounce back from where it was already nosediving into.

Dear fellow Youth, it is important we once again consider the many things that the government of the day were putting in place to ameliorate the moment we’re face with. The Federal and the State Governor’s have started rolling out relief measures to cushion the current situation we were experiencing as a whole, just yesterday the president broadcast to the nation was soothing relief for me, truly RENEWED HOPE has come to stay.

Lagos-State, being the center piece of the country won’t leave it citizens to lag behind. A cursory look at Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State during his official announcement has shown their is a synergy between the State and the federal government in other to complement the efforts federal government which will as well reflect at the grassroots in making sure we are relieved of the pain of the fuel subsidy removal.

This clarion call is necessary and to all Youths within the state to embrace positivity and shun any act of action strike that the NLC were agitating would embark upon tomorrow, 2nd of August, 2023. It would be of grave danger if this is allowed again to manifest, given to what we experienced during the ENDSARs protest which later turned out into destroying government institutions, it was a sad occurrence in our dear state as at that time, and the youth could have been seen as an instrument during the period of the crisis. I wish/hope we understand that their is a sincerity of purpose on the part of this present administration, various forms of palliatives has been rolled out by both state and the federal government, let us eschew any form strike that may snowball into unrest that could be hijacked.

Fellow Youth, let me once again appeal to you all not to be an agent of instrumentality in the hands of those planning to cause acrimony under the disguise of strike, while perpetrating evil to settle political scores behind the scenes.

We can always be better together, Our heritage should be protected.
