The Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative inaugurates new set of executives, who were sworn in earlier today Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Ikorodu town hall.

The keynote speaker, Barr. Sok Shillings, emphasized that the youth are the strength and bedrock of every community. He also advised the new executives to map out the challenges in Ikorodu and create solutions.

Barr. Shillings went on to say that true leaders understand that their role is to serve others and make a positive impact on their community. He urged the new executives to take on the responsibility of leadership and make meaningful contributions to the community.


To the new executives, Barr. Shillings advised them to go beyond empowerment and do something meaningful in the Ikorodu community.

He urged them to carry out projects and look for opportunities that will benefit the youths of Ikorodu Division. Finally, he reminded them that leadership is not an ambition, but a responsibility that must be taken seriously.

The new Executives were given certificate of office and letter of appointment while the outgoing executives were given certificates of service.

A special leadership award was presented to Comrade Seun Elesho for his supportive role in the organization.
