
The Legislative arm of Ikorodu North LCDA led by the leader of the House, Honourable Ayo Adekoya has today host a public hearing on an Executive bill sent by the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA Builder Deola Banjo on the proposed establishment of the Ikorodu North LCDA Joint Task Force.
The bill having passed the second reading in the chamber requires that the legislators host relevant stakeholders to have their inputs in the proposed bye law as required by the constitution.
Honourable Niran Adeyemi Wake Up who anchored the event in his welcome address explained to the gathering the importance of the public hearing and the need for them to participate actively as whatever agreements reached shall become binding on all and sundry.
Members of the Nigerian Police force, Nigerian army, DSS, Baales and other stakeholders shared their concerns and narrated their experiences on the security challenges of their areas and how the establishment of the Ikorodu North Joint Task Force can help to resolve some of the issues.
The stakeholders appreciated the Chairman, Builder Deola Banjo for proposing such Executive bill that would help to guarantee the peace and prosperity of the Tower of Resources.
The Ikorodu North Joint Task Force when fully inaugurated would complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in policing every nook and cranny of the LCDA as it is believed they know the areas better which would foster the expected peace such structure would guarantee.
The leader of the House, Hon. Adekoya assured stakeholders that their concerns have been well documented and necessary amendments shall be considered in the preparation of the final document.
The Chairman was represented by his Chief of Staff, Honourable Biodun Banjo, Vice Chairman Hon. Ameen Apanishile and other members of the Executive arm of Ikorodu North LCDA stormed the legislative chamber to witness the historic event.
