The Chairman, Board of Trustees Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) Foundation, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN, Director General/CEO, Nigerian Institute of Medical Research(NIMR), Prof. Babatunde Salako, other members of the NIMR Foundation’s Board of Trustees – Mrs Moji Makanjuola, Prof. Oye Gureje, and Executive Director, NIMR Foundation, Dr. Olajide Sobande, paid a working visit to the Institute in Yaba, Lagos on Tuesday, 25th July 2023. The visit was aimed at strengthening the partnership between the NIMR Foundation and the Institute in the area of research and development.

During the visit, the NIMR Foundation Board of Trustees was briefed on the ongoing research activities at the Institute, including the research on infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and traditional medicine. The Board was impressed with the level of research being carried out at the Institute and expressed their willingness to support the Institute in its research efforts.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN, commended the Institute for its commitment to research and development. He stated that the NIMR Foundation is committed to supporting the Institute in its efforts to develop innovative solutions to the health challenges facing Nigeria.

The Director General/CEO, Nigerian Institute of Medical Research(NIMR), Prof. Babatunde Salako, expressed his appreciation to the NIMR Foundation Board of Trustees for their visit and their willingness to support the Institute. He emphasized the need for collaboration between the Institute and the private sector in order to develop innovative solutions to the health challenges facing Nigeria.
