Comr. Teslim Olubodun Olusi was installed as the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos Island local branch in a ceremony held on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The event took place at the Lagos Island Local Government.

During the ceremony, Comrade Olalekan Biliamin Oba, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Lagos Chapter, gave a speech in which he emphasized the importance of leadership among the youth. He stated that the youth are the future of Nigeria and that it’s important for them to be guided by strong leaders who can help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

Comrade Oba went on to say that leadership is not just about holding a position or title, but it’s about serving others and making a positive impact in their lives. He encouraged Comrade Olusi to be a servant-leader who puts the needs of others first and leads by example.

In conclusion, Comrade Oba congratulated Comrade Olusi on his installation as the Coordinator of Lagos Island Local Branch and He encouraged him to be a role model for the youth and to work tirelessly towards their growth and development.

The Vice Chairman of Lagos Central, Comr. Adeyemi, congratulated the newly installed coordinator and implored him to be a good leader among the members and youth populace of Lagos Island.

In his acceptance speech, Comr. Olusi Teslim expressed his excitement and gratitude for being inaugurated as the Coordinator of the Lagos Island local branch. He pledged to seek the support and cooperation of every member of the NYCN Lagos Island local branch.

Comr. Olusi emphasized the importance of the youth in the development of Nigeria and pledged to work with the council to create programs and initiatives that will help the youth overcome the challenges they face, including unemployment, poverty, and lack of opportunities. He also promised to promote peace and unity among the youth in Lagos Island Local Government.

“I believe that the youth are the future of our great nation, and I’m committed to working with the council to create programs and initiatives that will help the youth overcome the challenges they face, including unemployment, and lack of opportunities. I’ll work hard to ensure that the voice of the youth are heard and that their needs are met,” said Comr. Olusi.

Comr. Olusi appealed to the youth of Lagos Island to work alongside him in order to reach their goals. He assured them of his full dedication to this cause.

Others in attendance are; the State Secretary NYCN Lagos, Vice Chairman of Lagos East, Assistant Secretary, other State Executives, and Coordinators of other Local branches.
