Fuad Kayode Laguda (FKL) has announced his intention to run for the Surulere Federal Constituency 1 seat in the upcoming bye-elections on August 19, 2023. Speaking to his supporters, FKL expressed his desire to serve the people of Surulere and contribute to the Constituency continued development.

“I am here to be your servant to continue to bring the dividends of democracy you desire through effective representation at the Federal House of Representatives,” FKL said in his speech. “I use this opportunity to seek and solicit your support in the forthcoming bye-elections of the 19th August 2023 to represent you at the Federal House of Representatives.”

FKL has a long-standing history of service to the community, having previously vied for political office in 2002 and 2015. Despite not holding a political portfolio, he has remained steadfast and active in his contributions to the Constituency, supporting initiatives focused on education, health, youth empowerment, and social welfare.

In recognition of his dedication and commitment to the party, FKL was nominated and elected as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Surulere (Constituency 1 & 2) and served as the Director General of the party’s Campaign Council (TGSEE) during the 2023 General Election, successfully delivering all five candidates in Surulere Local Government.

“Additionally, I was appointed as a member of the Joint Task Force for Surulere 2, further demonstrating my commitment to the success of our party,” FKL said in his speech.

FKL’s announcement has generated excitement and anticipation among the people of Surulere, who are eager to see what he can accomplish if elected to the Surulere Constituency 1 seat.
