The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has today admonished residents of the Tower of Resources, Ikorodu North LCDA to take conscious steps to ensure they keep greens in their environment.

The Chairman made this call at the year 2023 tree planting exercise which held today at the Anglican Primary school, Akaun, Ikorodu North LCDA.

Banjo during his welcome address said – “One of the importance of trees to mankind is that trees produce the oxygen we breathe in and consumes the carbondioxide we breathe out which can be poisonous to our health”.

He went further to appreciate the Governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for sustaining the annual tree planting program as laid down by his predecessors.

The students of the school also had a card board presentation of the various advantages of keeping greens to further drive home the point.

The high point of the event was the tree planting exercise which the Builder took the lead to plant after which his Vice, Honourable Ameen Apanishile, the Leader of the house, Honourable Ayo Adekoya and fellow Councillors, Supervisors, management members and Head of departments, Baales and other stakeholders present took turns to commit a seed to the earth in expectation of its survival for the benefit of mankind.

An average of thirty tree species were planted in a convivial atmosphere that allowed for everyone present sustained interest to be a part of history.
