Nnamdi Azikiwe University has elected Comr. Izuchukwu Francis Ejikeme as its 30th Students Union Government (SUG) President. According to a statement released by Comr. Ismail O. Ashiru, Ejikeme’s victory in the recent SUG election is a significant leap in student leadership.

In the statement, Ashiru congratulated Ejikeme on his election victory and expressed confidence in his leadership abilities. He believes that Ejikeme will work tirelessly to revamp and restore the union’s past glory and heights.

Ashiru also expressed his belief that Ejikeme’s leadership will foster student growth and make a paradigm shift in students’ activities, welfarism, social amenities, and have a transparent background of government.

Ejikeme’s election as the 30th SUG President of Nnamdi Azikiwe University is a clear indication of the students’ desire for a government that is “of the students, by the students, and for the students.” Ashiru’s statement also highlights Ejikeme’s agenda for transformation and equalitarianism.
