The Ipakodo progressive minded youth association has distributed 100 welfare packages to the aged in Ipakodo community, Ikorodu West LCDA, Lagos State. The distribution took place on the 25th of June, in celebration of the Eid festive period. It was the first edition by the group.

The Chairman of the Ipakodo progressive minded youth association, Mr. Toheeb Fadeyi, and Hon. Adelani Okunade, Supervisor for Youth Ikorodu West LCDA, led the distribution exercise alongside the members of the association.

They empathized on the need to take care of the aged in the community and also disclosed that the group has a plan for the students by giving them books. An empowerment program for the youths is also coming up.

The welfare package distribution was aimed at promoting empathy and respect for the aged in the community. The welfare pack contains Rice Beans, Garri and other food essentials, The aged beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the group for the kind gesture.

Mr. Toheeb Fadeyi the Chairman of the association, he said the group is committed to the development of the community. He also expressed his appreciation to the members for their dedication and hard work towards the success of the welfare package distribution exercise.

Hon. Adelani Okunade, Supervisor for Youth Ikorodu West LCDA, shed more light on the importance of taking care of the aged in the community. He emphasized the need to promote empathy and respect for the aged, and also mentioned the group’s plan to give students books and other school essentials, An empowerment program for the youths is coming up as well.

The Ipakodo progressive minded youth association’s plans to give students books and hold an empowerment program for the youths is also commendable, as it shows their commitment to the development of their community.
