
The Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club, a youth activity of the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club, has successfully completed its core project for the 2022/2023 Lions service year. In commemoration of World Elderly Abuse Awareness Day, the club donated raw food items such as rice, garri, vegetable oil, and more to over 70 elderly individuals in Ikorodu Community. The project took place in Ijomu Community on June 17th, 2023, and was aimed at showing support and love to the community’s elderly ones, Children in Ijomu Community participate in recycling of plastics project in exchange of indomie for each of them.
The President of the Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club, Leo Keji Lawal, expressed her delight in the project, stating that the club is committed to giving back to the community and supporting the vulnerable. She added that the club’s members are passionate about making a positive impact in Ikorodu, and this project is just one of the many initiatives the club has planned for the year.

Lion Lady Funmi Alabi, one of the sponsoring Lions, advised the elderly people on how to take care of their health. The Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club is committed to serving the community and making a positive impact in Ikorodu. The club encourages everyone to support their initiatives and partner with them to make a difference in the community.
The Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club is also committed to promoting environmental sustainability and has planned a project on the recycling of plastics in the community, which will involve the children in the community.
The club is rounding up the fiscal year in style, having successfully completed its core project.
