
The Mainland Youth initiative has applauded member representing Lagos Mainland Constituency 1 at the Lagos House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Ajani Owolabi on his Computer Literacy program organized for Primary and Secondary School students inconjunction with the Team Members of the Nigerians for Prosperity.
The 8 weeks program which commenced today with familiarization and introduction of basics of Computer Studies with discussions on component of input and output devices as well as teaching about the use of Word document; this has been tagged THE CATCH THEM YOUNG INITIATIVE.
Alhaja Muftiat Bajulaiye, the executive director of the prosperity for Nigerians who also doubles as a prominent member of Mainland Youth Initiative has described the 8 weeks long program as a watershed in the life of our young people in Lagos Mainland. She appreciated Hon. Ajani for thinking towards such direction as it is a round peg in round hole for the beneficiaries.
Mr Tosin Ajayi who is mainland Youth initiative Project coordinator reacting to the program as Catch-Them-Young-for better-tomorow. He urge stakeholders across Lagos mainland to focus their attention on both Educational and civic engagement of young people that this will not only empower them but build their artificial intelligence which is a much needed resources needed by all societies today.
The group equally urge leaders to look into other sectors and work in partnership with development associations in other to make positive impact on the people they represent. Mainland Youth initiative however stated its readiness to work with any initiative as long as its aim and objective is developmental and People’s oriented.
