… Launched the new logo of CDC Ikorodu North LCDA

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ikorodu North Community Development Committee (CDC) was held yesterday 25th of January at the premises of LASTMA Office, Ikorodu North LCDA.

Ikorodu North Community Development Committee was inaugurated in 2005 under the Local government Chairmanship of Hon. Kunle Ogunbela with only 9 registered CDA having Pastor Adebola Zacchaus Osibajo JP as the pioneer Chairman and is governed by the constitution of the Lagos State Community Development council and a law to provide for the registration of Community Development Association and other Connected Matters assented to by the former governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) in 2008.

There are over 253 registered CDAs currently under Ikorodu North CDC, located in different communities across the five wards of Ikorodu North LCDA starting from Agbede in Ward E1, Odogunyan to Ward B3, Isiwu.

According to the CDC Chairman Adeniran Ogunbanwo, this program is invented to give account of all activities that is in progress and finalized, as objectivity, accountability is procreated in the association Constitution, in his speech “I welcome you all to the second annual General meeting of Ikorodu North Community Development Committee (CDC), we have been observing this annual meeting every year since we assumed office in line with the CDC constitution to engender transparency, accountability and responsible leadership”.

The CDC association is responsible for promoting, planning, executing and maintaining Community Development project to raise the socio – economy standards of the communities in Ikorodu North LCDA, they are also in charge of the establishment of the community development association (CDA) in their Local Government Areas.

Mr Adeniran Ogunbanwo expresses his gratitude for towards the benefactors who are supporting the association both psychologically (Advise) and financially, “I appreciate all our supporters, those that help in various community projects, those that donate and those that pray for the prosperity of our communities, I thank you all, especially our Grand Patron, Oba Olukayode David Raji, the Eweye of Isiwu kingdom, thank you for the fatherly role and good Counsel to the CDC”.

The General Secretary gives detailed account of the activities done in year 2021 and various CDAs projects with the CDC’s supervision “The number of registered CDA in Ikorodu North increased from two hundred and twenty nine in 2020 to two hundred and fifty one in 2021, our CDA’s member have continued to execute laudable capital projects as a way of utilizing the wealth created by them, some of the key projects are Grading of roads, Installation of street light, Construction of community Hall, Distribution of Covid-19 palliative, engagement of Local security outfit and more”.

The new logo for Ikorodu North Community Development Association CDC was unveiled with a new design.

Awards are designated in recognition of selfless services by various individuals from different CDA to appreciate their contribution to the growth and wellness of the community respectively.
