Ikorodu Division APC Leaders address the viral video going round the social media last week on the issue of non payment to canvassers, which took place at the APC secretariat in Ikorodu Local Government, on Monday 13th of March.
Ashipa Kaoli Olusanya the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for Ikorodu Division, stated clearly that it is untrue the leadership of the party hoard any money with them, this network issue is the one causing all these.
He said none of the party leaders was at fault as regards payment of allowances which has been processed electronically unfortunately only few people were credited while others are yet to, due to technical issues.
Prince Abiodun Ogunleye pleads with all the Canvassers to exercise patients with the party, as stated earlier it will be resolved appropriately, he implored every canvasser to work and deliver for the party.
Alhaji R.I Jinadu call out the aggrieved Canvassers from the circulated video which one of them Adenubi Omodolapo, they renew their commitment for the party and pledge to remain part of the progressives family.
Other party chieftains that were present at the occasion include Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani LGA Chairman Ikorodu, Alhaji Waheed Animashaun, Otunba Fatai Olukoga, Deaconess Wonuola Lagos East Women Leader, Hon. The Mandate Movement political group under the leadership of Alhaji Lawal Animashaun popularly known as De-Cubano, marked the group end of the year celebration in grand style. TMM reached out to its members as they were given cash to support their businesses while over 200 people were given food packages in celebration of the festive season which took place on Tuesday 27th of December.
The group used the medium to declare its total support for all APC candidates ranging from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for Lagos State Governor, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru for Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Babajimi Benson as member,House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Ogunleye Gbolahan as member,Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency 1 and Aro Moshood Abiodun as member, Lagos House of Assembly representing Ikorodu, Constituency 2.
Alhaji Cubano also appealed to everyone present at the event to continue preaching the gospel of APC in their various community and also cast their votes for APC from top level to the grassroots level.
In commemoration of the Year 2022 World food day the iCare food bank doles out over 500 ‘Aapo Anu’ to the Residents of Ikorodu federal constituency an initiative of Rep Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal Constituency which took place yesterday 15th of October at the his constituency office.
World food day is observed annually on 16th of October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food. The theme for 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind.

Rep Babajimi Benson in his remarks “We understand the economic situation of the country that’s why we come up with the support for market women to assist them for financial support in their businesses. Also, we planned a tuition assistance programme for fresh students admitted in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria and resident in Ikorodu to alleviate the financial burden on parents and students”.

The Ikorodu-born Lawmaker while addressing the beneficiaries of the new roads said the ongoing Ikorodu-Sagamu road sited along Ikorodu North border was his first road construction job in the entire Ikorodu Division and assured more are in the offing.
Rep Babajimi Benson while giving statistical analysis of what accrues to Ikorodu Division as a Federal Constituency disclosed that insufficient constituency allowance can not this multiple projects but his office most times lobbied to get these projects coming to Ikorodu Division.
“So it is not that we earn more than our colleagues in the green chamber but these projects are culmination of extra efforts, lobbying, hard work, undivided commitment to bring these amenities to the doorsteps of Ikorodu Division.
Builder Deola Banjo the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA in his welcome address labelled Honourable Jimi Benson the “Posterboy” of Ikorodu division noting that Ikorodu division never envisaged representation can be this good.
He said the roads upon completion would ease travel time and would make life more meaningful for the good people of Ikorodu North especially.

The link roads are expected to be completed in four months after which residents of Ikorodu would be able to connect Benson right from Agbala area of Ikorodu North.
