The historic 8th annual constituency stakeholders meeting held at the prestigious Igbogbo Homat event Hall recorded a successful interactive and brainstorming session on voters card registration, pvc collection, voters’ sensitization, security and uninterrupted progress and development of Ikorodu constituency 2.

The annual constituency meeting was attended by dignitaries that cut across the Local Council Development Areas (Igbogbo, Ijede, and Imota LCDAs) that made up the entire Ikorodu constituency 2.

Ikorodu Constituency 2 Apex leaders in the person of Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Distinguished Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, and others who were unavoidably absent for other assignments were specially appreciated and acknowledged by the Chief Host, Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja, Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing the good people of Ikorodu constituency 2.



Other top dignitaries in attendance were Ranodu of Imota, HRM Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Agoro, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Abdulsemiudeen Orimadegun Kasali (Emugoriade 1) ably represented by the Council of Oba led by Iyalode of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Mrs Karimot Ojikutu, Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, HRM Oba AbdulAkeem Oyebo represented by Aro of Egbin Kingdom, High Chief Monsuru Olukoga. The Olubeshe of Ibesheland, HRM Oba Richard Ogunsanya also represented by his council of Oba. Regent of Ijede Kingdom, High Chief Musediku Aliu also graced the annual constituency’s meeting.

Also in attendance was Baba Oba of Egbin Kingdom, Chief Jamiu Adisa (alias Baba Golden J), past house of assembly members, constituency leaders, past and current Council Chairmen, past and current LGA Party Chairmen, Secretaries, LGA Women Leaders, LGA Youth Leaders, LGA Excos, Ward Chairmen, Ward Excos, the League of Imams, Party Stalwarts, Christian leaders (CAN), CDC, Market women, and men, Artisans, within Ikorodu Constituency 2.

No stone was left unturned by the Chief Host, Hon. NS Solaja at this year stakeholders’ meeting themed: “2023 General Election: The imperatives of permanent voter’s card (PVC), where he charges INEC to go back to the drawing board and focus more on residential areas for pvc registration than the CBDs, and urging them to put all necessary measure in place at ensuring collection of PVCs are made less cumbersome for Ikorodu constituency 2

NS Solaja added that it is pertinent for all to obtain their permanent voters cards ahead of the 2023 polls in the overall interest of Lagos State from National to assembly elections.

He made this remark at the just concluded 8th stakeholders meeting organised by the Lagos State 9th assembly, which ran concurrently across the 40 constituencies in Lagos state where he equally appreciated the All Progressives Congress(APC) members for supporting his re-election bid and the delegates who voted overwhelmingly and stood by him at the just concluded assembly primary election saying the victory belongs to them and progress of Ikorodu constituency 2.

While reeling out some of his achievement, and upcoming projects, NS specifically stated that the newly awarded reconstruction and upgrading of Obafemi Awolowo (bayeku road), Phase 1 facilitated by his office from Odofin street to igbogbo bayeku IIB Housing Estate, Igbogbo and other on-going state infrastructural projects under construction will be completed and new projects already budgeted for will be facilitated and awarded under the administration of his excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwolu, the pragmatic and energetic governor of Lagos State.

NS assured the populace that he would continue to facilitate more projects for his people, stating that his utmost joy is to see his constituency enjoy more dividends of democracy from the state government.

Delivering the central idea behind the 8th annual stakeholders’ meeting, Lagos State INEC HOD, VR/ICT department, Mr. Yusuf Muyiwa while making his official presentation assured Ikorodu constituency 2 more ground will be covered before the exercise ends.

Mr. Yusuf however admonished all constituents to avoid double registration as the new technology would disenfranchise anyone found wanting of such act.

“We however urged you all to ensure you collect your PVCs as collection exercise has begun, it is a fruitless exercise when you register and fail to collect your PVC and vote, collection and making sure you vote and your votes are counted shiuld be your ultimate goal”. The INEC official, Mr. Yusuf advised.

IKORODU CONSTITUENCY 2 SOLAJA SECURES BACKING OF IGBOGBO-BAIYEKU LCDA APC CAUCUS OF REUBEN OLOWU FOR ANOTHER TERM IN OFFICE ~Ajasa-Info



House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja, was on Thursday, April 7, 2022 met with the leadership and members of Elder Reuben Adenrele Olowu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, to seek re-election for another term in office.

Solaja whose scheduled visit was greeted by cheerful welcome and waves at the APC Caucus meeting held at the official residence of Elder Olowu recorded a huge historic turn out by members and leadership of the group. I

While the APC Caucus of Elder Olowu drummed up supports for the re-election of Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, the Chairman, Public Account Committee (PAC) reeled out his 7years scorecards and master plans if given the mandate to represent the good people of Ikorodu constituency 2.

He therefore, enjoined all well meaning sons, daughters, and residents of Ikorodu Constituency II to support him as his return to the house will attract fresh meaningful developments and consolidation of existing state facilitated projects across the three(3) LCDAs that made up the constituency.



In his brief remarks, Former Senator, Adeseye Ogunlewe showered encomium on Solaja as a silent achiever whose seven (7)years in office as Assembly member has recorded and attracted laudable projects Ikorodu Constituency 2 will forever remember him for.

‘If we return NS, the gains and blessings to Ikorodu Constituency 2 is enormous’. He added that Rotation is good but not at the expense of development, progress and prosperity of the constituency.

Ogunlewe added that replacing NS Solaja with a New comer will take the constituency 10times backwards as most junior ranking member would go to the assembly to learn the rope of legislative business.

Saying it is time for Ikorodu Constituency II to rise above primordial sentiments and stop taking the backseat in the Lagos assembly every 8years. Rotation according to Ogunlewe makes development stagger and stagnant.

Yesterday 23rd of February was a great day in Ikorodu Constituency 2 as the Lawmaker representing Igbogbo/ Bayeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, Public Account Committee (PAC), Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, has commissioned 12 Boreholes projects across Ikorodu Constituency II, assuring Constituents of more projects in the Offing.

The Borehole located in front of the Chief Imam of Igbogbo’s house was first to be commissioned amidst so much excitment, after which the long convoy moved to Ibeshe, Ilado Odumade Baiyeku, Igbe Laara, Ebute Olowo in Ijede, Igbopa, Aje street in Imota, Ajegunle, itun Opopo amongst others.

The twelve (12) Bold grassroot footprints of NS across Ikorodu constituency 2 witnessed the presence of Party Leaders and Council Chairmen, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Builder Olusesan Daini of Igbogbo /Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba of Ijede LCDA, Omo’ba Wasiu Agoro of Imota LCDA, APC Stalwarts amongst others.

The lawmaker, who spoke exclusively with Ajasa-Info and other notable community Journalists disclosed that his water projects are to fulfill part of his campaign promises for provision of social amenities at the grassroot.

“It’s in a view to ensure that access water is available to my Constituents, that’s why I am commissioning additional 12 boreholes to the existing ones across my Constituency many of which are still very much active,” NS revealed.

The Honourable reiterated that the value of water is much more than its price and explained further that ending water challenges in all the communities in Ikorodu Constituency II is a core focus of his programme.

In the last six years, the Lawmaker revealed that he had constructed and delivered more than 24 borehole projects across Ikorodu Constituency II. “This is not the first time that I would be erecting borehole projects in my Constituency, it has turned to one of my traditional projects initiated to bring social amenities closer to the grassroots.

NS as he is fondly called further enjoined every residents of his Constituency where the boreholes were sited, to take ownership of the boreholes, urging them to use the facilities with care, to last longer.

Saka-Sholaja also urged Government at all levels to invest more in the provision of potable water, stressing that the provision of such social ammenities should not be left in the hands of private individuals. He assured to facilitate more State projects to Ikorodu Constituency II, revealing that more roads would be rehabilitated in soon.

Responding to Newsmen, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, commended the gesture of the Lawmaker, saying Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja is loyal, trustworthy and dependable. Also, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, in the same vein applauded Hon. Saka-Sholaja, adding that if he could be allowed to represent again, he’ll definitely do more.

In his remarks, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, also thanked Hon Saka-Sholaja for the water projects. He said it is good for the representative to be nearer to the people, urging the Community to take ownership of the Boreholes for proper maintenance. High Chief Jamiu Adesina, the Olisa of Ibeshe, also thanked the Lawmaker on behalf of Olubeshe of Ibeshe land, assuring that the rcommunity is solidly behind him.

Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, is set to commission additional 12 boreholes in Ikorodu Constituency II, assuring Constituents of more projects in the Offing.

The lawmaker, who spoke exclusively with Ajasa-Info and other notable community Journalists disclosed that his water projects are to fulfill part of his campaign promises for provision of social amenities at the grassroot. “In a view to ensure that access water is available to my Constituents, I am constructing additional 12 boreholes which would be commissioned very soon,” the Lawmaker revealed.

Sholaja-Saka reiterated that the value of water is much more than its price and explained further that ending water challenges in all the communities in Ikorodu Constituency II is a core focus of his administration.

He added that construction of more borehole which was also a demonstration of his commitment to ensure quick access to water, could also afford him to put smiles on the faces of people of his Constituents, pledging to reach more communities with more projects in the future.



In the last six years, NS had constructed and delivered more than 24 borehole projects across different communities in Ikorodu Constituency II, adding that he is set to commissioned additional 12 new boreholes in Imota, Ijede and Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDAs.

“This is not the first time that I would be erecting borehole projects in my Constituency, it has turned to one of my traditional projects in furtherance of the agenda for a better Ikorodu constituency II in sync with the greater Lagos initiative,” Sholaja-Saka opined.
