Ikorodu Division Independent Youth met with National Union of Journalists Chairman Lagos State Chapter at the just concluded NUJ week in Lagos.
The Chairman promised to attend the group Launching which is coming up on the 27th of this month.
They also met with the President of the NUJ in Nigeria, the former Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information, Mr Sina Thorpe and Director Lagos State for Science & Technology Yeye Bola Akingbade among others.
Ikorodu Division Independent Youth visit Chief Kamorudeen Lamina alias Sir K Oluwo, he advised the group to be consistent and there should be unity among the members.
He also charged Ikorodu Division Independent Youth to be focused and never derail from the aims and objectives of what the group stands for.
Otunba Kamorudeen Lamina stand firm about his support for the Ikorodu Division Independent Youth Movement, In order to motivate and encourage the group to continue actualising development in Ikorodu division as a whole.
As part of the consultation and familiarisation visit to major stakeholders in Ikorodu Division, Ikorodu Division Independent Youth pays courtesy call on the Lagos State House of Assembly Majority Leader Hon. SOB Agunbiade who is representing the good people of Ikorodu constituency 1.
Hon. SOB Agunbiade received the group in his office on Wednesday at the Lagos State House of Assembly, he commend the group for a good begining “If you want to have a continuous a cordial relationship among yourselves is not to let money be your first priority in whatever you are doing, also be a good a ambassador of Ikorodu as the name of the group Implies Ikorodu in it, ensure you do it well in order for Ikorodu will be heard all over the Country and world at large, I am sure you know ‘Ikorodu loga’ which means Ikorodu is the Boss.
He added “With any team, unity or teamwork is important. It is what allows a team to run like a well-oiled machine and achieve success”
Ikorodu Division Independent Youth met with the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem, Hon. Batife Daisi Councillor representing Majidun-Ogolonto, and Hon. Okunade Adelani Supervisor for Youth and Agriculture Ikorodu West.
Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem received the delegation of the Ikorodu Division Independent Youth in his office, he eulogies the group for a job well done since it creation “I am always happy when I see young minds come together for a positive reasons, and I assure you of my support in whatever your are doing, I will do whatever in my capacity.”
Hon. Batife Daisi the Councillor representing Majidun-Ogolonto in Ikorodu West LCDA in his remarks “I have been seeing the movement of the group in the past weeks, and I was wowed of your strength and doggedness, it is a great pleasure for me recieving the great Ikorodu Division Independent Youth, you are doing well and I would advise you to continue to do well of which myself and you will join hands together to promote our candidates for various positions.”
Hon. Okunade Adelani Supervisor for Youth and Agriculture in his remarks “Youth is my constituency and I am glad you deem it fit to visit the youth constituency, Ikorodu Division Independent Youth is no more strange to us, we will definitely do the work together and by God’s grace we shall succeed, and I give Kudos to the leadership of Ikorodu Division Independent Youth for a wonderful work so far.”
In the past weeks the Ikorodu Division Independent Youth has been on consultation visit to major stakeholders in Ikorodu Division, which the group has been acceptable by them.
Yesterday the group met with MD Hassan Chairman of Arewa in Ikorodu Division he’s really happy with the aims and objectives Ikorodu Division Independent Youth was created, “I haven’t seen any group doing that yet, I assure you of my support to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at all time, likewise the Re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates in Ikorodu Division.
The group also met with APC Lagos East Women Leader Deaconess Wonuola Oshinowo she commend Ikorodu Division Independent Youth for their outstanding performance since its creation, “I assure you of my support towards the growth of this noble group, and be rest assured I will carry the women along as my position of the women leader of Lagos East Senatorial Women Leader”
Lastly the group also met with Alhaji Junaid Owokodu former APC Chairman Ikorodu Central he charged Ikorodu Division Independent Youth to put more effort in promoting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Governor and other APC candidates in the division and he promised to take the group on a great political journey.
In continuation of the consultation visit of Ikorodu Division Independent Youth, the group visited a Senior clergy elder in Ikorodu Division Bishop Emmanuel Oluwaseun (JP) , the Senior Clergy received the group warmly.
Bishop Emmanuel in his remarks “We are all ready to work for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in this coming general election because we can see his track records in Lagos State, I believe when he eventually emerged as the President he’ll emulate it to the whole of Nigeria.”
In conclusion he said “Ikorodu Division Independent Youth Movement this is a great feat you’ve all started as a team to promote a man with reputable character and achievements, I pray God Almighty will elevate everyone of you.”
The group also met with Director of Homat group schools Alhaji Idris Amusa, he commend the leadership of Ikorodu Division Independent Youth Movement for an insightful direction they choose to follow “In the past few days we are seeing your activities through the media, continue doing the good work the sky is the starting point”
Ikorodu Division Independent Youth held it first general meeting with members across Ikorodu Division; Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu North, Ikorodu West, Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDA after series of Executive meetings consecutively, The meeting took place at Ikorodu West LCDA party Secretariat with massive turn up of members.
In the remarks of the Convener Comrade Abegunde Hawa Omolola Ikorodu Division independent youth are moved to mobilize and embrace members of many dialect, group of Arewa who are domicile in any part of Ikorodu Division, this medium is to consolidate people of different ethnic group to create certain level of relationship to collaborate our work for Asiwaju Bola Hamed Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu re-elect in this coming election.
There are many among Nigerians who have some type of disabilities. Despite progress, special people in Nigerian continue to face barriers that keep them from receiving equitable
service and support.
Thanks to Lagos state governor who encourage and empower some physically challenged citizens in Lagos State irrespective of there ethnicities.
Our movement are to systematized the special people , other volunteers and political group , certain societies and of Harewas group into one coherent body of political understanding to support our prefer candidate.
The representative of the Special People appeal to the group for them to be carried along in whatever the group is doing, because we are for APC come rain come sunshine, the representative of the Arewa Comrade Sulaimon Salisu admonish the group and vouch to support Asiwaju candidacy and other APC candidates.
The Director Legal Services of Tinubu Support Organisation Barrister Kayode in his remarks “I am proud of what Ikorodu Independent Youth are doing, with the little of creation of the group, you are doing massively well, and I assure you of my own support and TSO Lagos support as well”.
