The member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency Rep Babajimi Benson gave cash support of 50,000 naira each to 200 market men and women across the 6 Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs in Ikorodu Federal Constituency yesterday benefitted from the financial assistance facilitated for constituents in the micro, small and medium businesses in Ikorodu from the National Productivity Centre.

Rep Babajimi Benson in his remarks “We understand the economic situation of the country that’s why we come up with the support for market women to assist them for financial support in their businesses. Also, we planned a tuition assistance programme for fresh students admitted in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria and resident in Ikorodu to alleviate the financial burden on parents and students”.

“I’m also using this moment to appreciate you all for your support since I assume office as your representative, may Almighty God continue to be with you all, I will also implore you all to use this money for your businesses as it is stipulated for.”

The State Coordinator, National Productivity Centre, Mrs Chinwe Okwuosa “We are here to appreciate what Rep Babajimi Benson for his tremendous work he has been doing in Ikorodu Division, and he has been given lots of grants to his constituents.

“I implore the market women to use the grant for what is meant for, don’t divert it to another purpose”.

The Iya Oloja General Ikorodu Division Alhaja Taofikat Allison “We never had it this good in Ikorodu Division, I commend the kind gesture of Babajimi Benson for his support at all times, and I promise you that all the women are solidly with you, come 2023 you have our vote, I’m also using this medium to urge you all come 2023 we should entrust our vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this is Yoruba time and we should support him”.
